Writing- Information Report

This week we are going to be writing an information report for writing. We will break into our writing workshops on Tuesday.

Samoan language week guest

Today we were very lucky to have Zhali's great, great grandparents come to Room 8 and share their knowledge of Samoa with the class. We learnt about different cloth items Samoan people wear. We were lucky to have a singing lesson of the  Samoan national anthem.

We are lucky to have a class from rich culturay backgrounds that can share this knowledge with us.

This week we are learning the Samoan National Anthem. We will have a house competition with the whole school on Friday to see who has been practising.

SAMOAN language week

We are celebrating Samoan Language week in our class and across the school. I asked the children what they wanted to learn many of them said to count to 10. I have done a lesson on counting 1-10 in Samoan and we will be practising with a buddy tomorrow.

Today the whole school attended Kiwi the Kiwi- it was a show with music, dance and important lessons about fishing and being safe in the water.
