Day 1 Indonesia

Today I have been settling in, I went to Grand Indoneisa Mall, it is 8 levels high and I got lost five times.

It is very sticky and hot, imagine being a room with the heater on and that is what it feels like.

The people are very hospbiltiable: you could find the meaning hospbiltiable, new vocab word. So far all the people I have come across are very friendly and helpful.

There are a lot of scooters and it takes a very long time to get from one place to another because there are lots of people are on the road.

New Zealand has a population of around 4million. Now Jakarta, the capital of Indoneisa which is  where I am at the moment has over 4million. So there are more people just in Jakarta than the whole of New Zealand.

Food stalls on the side of the road

I also went the National Museum and read about the history of Indoneisa. I saw a lot of things similar from Maori and Pasikfia culture. They use to use weaving to make things such as bags. The also made clothes out of bark- like the tapa cloth. I then went for a ride in a Tuk tuk.
Tomorrow the other teachers from New Zealand will fly into Indonedua, I am looking forward to starting the tour.
