Day 5 Indonesia

Today I started the day early and walked to MonumenNational- Monas. The Monas is a tower symbolising the Indoneisan people struggle for independence. On the top of the tower is a flame covered in foil. We had to wait in line for 45mins and then took a lift to the top. At the top you had an amazing view of Jakarta.

We then took an hour bus trip to a Christian international school- Springfield. At the school we meet other teachers from different schools as well as had a workshop with the teachers from the scjo we are going to connect with. The teachers of St Johns- our new sister school had lots of questions about how schools in New Zealand work, what it looks like in the school and the subjects we cover. I have made links with the teachers at St Johns and we will continue to communcate when I return to New Zealand.

Tommrow we are flying to Yogyakarta which is in South-central Java.

Question: How long did it take in line before to wait for the lift to get up to the MonumenNational?
